livin' with critters

One of the creepy things about living in the woods is all the nocturnal creatures that there are out there. They wake me up at night trying to get into the bird feeders. Duke hears them too and is always there to protect us with his ferocious growl.

There's one creature that comes out at night that really creeps me out. I don't know why but they do. We ventured outside (Sean and I did after I sent Sean out to investigate ahead of time) to see what was making all the commotion. Here's what we found.

This one looks a little cute peeking around the tree like that - or not. Getting the heebie-jeebies just thinking about them!

Don't worry; we don't let Duke out, once it gets dark, without a leash.
