celebrating the military

sean loves the blue angels

i mean love, loves

or maybe it's just airshows in general

either way...

he finally drug me to one

in brunswick, maine

i'll give it to him

it was pretty cool

some of those planes would take off

and you could feel it

through your whole body

and the tricks

let's talk about those tricks

and how i didn't want to look

and the plane that landed on a moving rv

but the history of it all was cool too

and in case you were wondering...
it was very difficult to get any good pictures with moving targets going that fast!

sailing the bay - the ship and crew

wanted to show you around the ship
and introduce you to the crew
meet the mary day

all meals were made on a wood-burning stove
and consumed in this room

here's sean in our room - that's about all there was to it! :)

but here's where we spent the majority of our time

some of my favorite shots of the sails

and other parts of the ship

now let me introduce you to the crew
this is captain

and his all female crew

with the exception of the chef
who also helped out when we needed a little extra muscle

and this is the crew performing their acrobatics for us

sailing the bay - day 5

the final day
gave us the opportunity to see how the well off live

there was a little time to relax

before getting put to work

and parking for our return to land
the real fun on the final day
was getting to participate in the tall ships festival

it was such a blast lining up in the bay

with all the other tall ships

before coming in and getting to be part of the boat parade!

we got to stay one extra night on the ship
our crew won the talent show
and we watched the fireworks over the bay from the deck
it was a great end to a great trip!
