chopped party: dessert round

Sorry to keep you hanging....if you missed out on the first two rounds check them out here and here

As you probably know by now, Sean and I were the chefs of the final round - DESSERT!
Our job was to create a marvelous dessert with the following ingredients:

• low fat yogurt
• concord grape jelly
• saltines
• some kind of crazy carrot chips

think, tonya, think

with the help of our ringer ingredient - pineapple - and my two sous chefs we needed this...

and eventually we needed this for plan b since the ice cream base didn't cool fast enough

we used up every last second of the 45 minutes
i present to you...
carmel and almond topped grape ice cream over carrot crisp crusted baked pineapple

tasted better than it sounds
but we just may have won if i didn't have to resort to plan b
the ice cream became watery...boo...
we came in dead last...boo...
can't wait for the next chopped party
