dubai

i headed off to dubai for work

it was a great time
except those late nights working and only seeing the office and the hotel

and the 15 hour flight - each way

but hey, that's the real reason i was there to begin with
even with all that working and stuff i still got out and got to see a couple of things

like the burj khalifa - aka, the tallest building in the world

the palm islands and atlantis (way off in the distance but we also went to the palm islands)

jumeirah beach

souk al bahar

plus i got to hang out with my coworkers from all over
it was a really interesting experience
i expected more traditional dress
but it's mostly ex-pats
hardly any restaurants served alcohol
there were so many american restaurants - and not our best ones
the buildings were amazing!
and i never felt unsafe during the entire time i was there!
i hope to go back some day and explore even more
i've been back for over a week and think i've finally recovered from all the time zone changes
